Summary

Multiple NetApp products utilize the SSH protocol. The SSH protocol is susceptible to a vulnerability which when successfully exploited could lead to addition or modification of data. This vulnerability is referred to as Terrapin Attack.

Impact

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to addition or modification of data.

StorageGRID (formerly StorageGRID Webscale):
Ensure that the Legacy cipher policy is disabled and avoid custom policies which include ChaCha20-Poly1305. Refer to "Configuration -> Security -> TLS and SSH policies" in Grid Manager or the product guides for additional details.
