CVE-2016-1563 TLS Certificate Verification vulnerability in Clustered Data ONTAP

Summary

A flaw was discovered in the server certificate verification code used in clustered Data ONTAP version 8.3.1, making it susceptible to a man-in-the-middle attack under certain circumstances. Previous versions of clustered Data ONTAP are not impacted. Users are encouraged to upgrade to version 8.3.2 to resolve this vulnerability.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability may lead to arbitrary code execution.
