Summary

Multiple NetApp products incorporate the Linux kernel. Linux kernel versions 4.9 and higher are susceptible to a vulnerability that can force them to make very expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() for every incoming packet. A remote attacker with the ability to send TCP traffic to an affected system could cause a Denial of Service (DoS).

Impact

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker cause Denial of Service (DoS).
