circle-check-alt This advisory should be considered the single source of current, up-to-date, authorized and accurate information from NetApp regarding Full Support products and versions.

Summary

Specified NetApp products are vulnerable to a man-in-the-middle attack due to the incorrect acceptance of Change Cipher Spec (CCS) during the handshake. Several NetApp products incorporate the OpenSSL software libraries to provide cryptographic capabilities. The OpenSSL releases prior to 0.9.8za, 1.0.0m, and 1.0.1h are affected by a vulnerability in the TLS handshake. This vulnerability is present when both client and server utilize OpenSSL for secure communications over HTTPS.

Impact

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can allow compromise of confidentiality and integrity of the communication and possibly a session hijack after authentication has occurred.
