A security vulnerability was disclosed in the WindRiver VxWorks that allows a crafted packet to cause an integer overflow in RPC with the potential of executing arbitrary code. E-Series/EF-Series SANtricity OS controller firmware has been updated to address this vulnerability; a version of SANtricity OS 8.20 is available at this time and current hardware platforms can be upgraded to this version. An updated version of SANtricity OS 8.10 is being made available to customers who wish to remain at SANtricity OS 8.10.
